Kaspersky has signed a partnership agreement with Qassim University to enhance cybersecurity education and professional training for students and faculty members.

The cooperation will revolve around collaborative development and execution of educational and scientific projects envisioned to advance both foundational and professional cybersecurity education.

Within the agreement, Qassim University will be able to access Kaspersky’s educational materials, information resources, and listed software products, which will be used for its academic programmes and training activities.

The partnership is intended to make the university community more competent in cybersecurity by promoting talent development and knowledge dissemination.

This will encompass specialized programmes, workshops, and professional training programs in line with the emerging requirements of the cybersecurity employment market.

The spheres of collaboration can be the creation of cybersecurity awareness among students and faculty, the assistance of talented people in studying technologies and software, the creation of specialized course contents, which can be incorporated into academic curricula, and the delivery of advanced training programmes.

However, this agreement is also aimed at accelerating professional interaction among faculty members and industry experts in the field.

Mohamad Hashem, General Manager at Kaspersky in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, said, “Building strong cybersecurity capabilities begins with education, and through our collaboration with Qassim University, we aim to support the development of practical skills and knowledge that contribute to preparing students and teachers to face the evolving challenges in the field of cybersecurity. This agreement reflects our long-term commitment to knowledge sharing and capacity building in the Kingdom.”
