Nandini Gupta, the winner of Femina Miss India World 2023, is representing India in this year’s competition. She has already made it to the Top 40 finalists, an achievement considering the pageant features 108 contestants from across the world. Nandini is vying to bring the Miss World crown back to India in front of a home crowd. “As a 10-year-old, I always wanted to compete in Femina Miss India when I wanted the Crown for its beauty. How Are Contestants Selected?
The competition involves a combination of continental group selections, fast-track events, and jury shortlisting. 10 contestants from each of the four continent groups are selected for the quarterfinals, while 4 contestants gained fast-track entry through the Multimedia Challenge. Meanwhile, 24 additional contestants will be shortlisted by a jury panel on the day of the finale. This brings the total number of quarterfinalists to 40.
Who Will Crown the New Miss World?
The reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, who was crowned in Mumbai during the 71st edition in 2024, will pass on the crown during the finale. She succeeded Karolina Bielawska of Poland, making tonight’s event the continuation of a legacy steeped in elegance, achievement, and global camaraderie.
