The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025, featuring preseason matchups between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers, will be broadcast live in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. This expansive reach, announced by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and the National Basketball Association (NBA), underscores Abu Dhabi’s growing prominence as a global sporting hub.
The games, presented by ADQ, are scheduled for Thursday, October 2, and Saturday, October 4, at Etihad Arena on Yas Island. This marks a continuation of a multi-year collaboration between the NBA and DCT Abu Dhabi aimed at expanding basketball’s reach in the region and internationally.
The partnership extends beyond the preseason games to include comprehensive youth development programs, which have engaged nearly 20,000 participants since 2022. It also features interactive fan events with current and former NBA and WNBA players, an NBA 2K League exhibition, and NBA Cares social impact initiatives focused on health, wellness, and sustainability.
The New York Knicks roster for the games includes two-time NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson, five-time NBA All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, and 2022 NBA All-Defensive First Team member Mikal Bridges. The Philadelphia 76ers will feature 2023 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player and seven-time NBA All-Star Joel Embiid, nine-time NBA All-Star Paul George, and 2024 NBA All-Star Tyrese Maxey.
Tickets for The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025, presented by ADQ, are currently on sale to the public. The broad broadcast distribution across television, digital, and social media platforms aims to maximize global engagement for the event.
