The National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) has announced that its Dubai Head Office has received the LEED Gold Certification. This is the leading sustainability standard in the built environment globally and is known as LEED v4.1 O+M: Existing Buildings.

This award reinforces the fact that NBF has been steadfast in its efforts to be environmentally responsible, excel in its operations, and be sustainable in its business practices.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification is one of the major milestones in the bank’s development to develop a healthier, more efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace. The Dubai Head Office of NBF scored 70 points and was awarded a Gold rating.

LEED certification is the most popular green building rating plan worldwide. It originated with the U.S. Green Building Council.

LEED offers a way to make buildings healthy, efficient, and cost-effective. Projects are assessed in categories such as energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, sustainable site development, materials selection, and innovation.

It has received points based on its results in these categories, and the levels of certifications can be Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

The LEED Gold Certification of NBF continues to strive to minimize the environmental impact, maximize resource utilization, and create an environmentally healthy workplace and visitor space.

This achievement complies with the wider sustainability strategy of this bank and the vision of leveraging a leader by example in the UAE financial industry.
