Local sources report that a devastating landslide in Sudan’s Darfur region has claimed the lives of at least 1,000 people after engulfing a village in the Marra Mountains.
The disaster occurred on Sunday following several days of heavy rainfall, with only one person found alive.
The village of Tarasin in the Marra Mountains was completely destroyed, leaving over a thousand dead.
