PSL 2025: Everything You Need To Know About Squads, Teams, And Venues

The highly anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) returns for its tenth season, kicking off on April 11, 2025. This year’s tournament promises intense competition as it coincides with the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), adding an extra layer of excitement. The PSL 2025 will run until May 18, featuring matches across four iconic cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi.

Tournament Format and Schedule

The league will feature six teams: Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, and Islamabad United. Teams will compete in a double round-robin format, ensuring each team faces the others twice. A total of 34 matches, including playoffs, will be played. The top four teams from the league stage will advance to the playoffs.

Defending champions Islamabad United will take on Lahore Qalandars in the opening match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on April 11.

Venue Breakdown

  • Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore: Hosts 13 matches, including both eliminators and the final.
  • Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium: Hosts 11 matches, including the qualifier.
  • National Bank Stadium, Karachi: Hosts five matches.
  • Multan Cricket Stadium: Hosts five matches.
