Regular parking fees will resume on Saturday, June 28.
Public transport will operate as usual on the holiday. The Dubai Metro will run from 5am on June 27 until 1am the next day, while the Dubai Tram will operate from 6am to 1am during the same period.
RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on Friday. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and RTA Head Office will stay open 24/7 to serve customers through digital kiosks.
Service provider centres and vehicle testing services will also remain closed on Friday and reopen on Saturday, June 28.
Commuters are advised to check the S’hail or RTA app for updates on public bus and marine transport schedules.
The Hijri New Year, also known as Islamic New Year, marks the beginning of the Islamic lunar calendar. It commemorates the migration (Hijrah) of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Mecca to Medina, a pivotal event in Islamic history. The year changes on the first day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
