PureHealth, the Middle East’s largest healthcare group, has announced the graduation of 146 UAE Nationals, including participants from the third cohort of its Emirati Development Centre (EDC) Leaders Programme. Recognised as one of the UAE’s most comprehensive and inclusive platforms for Emirati development, the EDC is committed to nurturing the next generation of local talent to drive innovation and excellence in the healthcare sector.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH); Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth; Prof. Deborah McNamara, President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; and Rashed Al Qubaisi, Group Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth. The dignitaries addressed the graduates, commending their dedication and commitment.
This milestone highlights PureHealth’s ongoing commitment to Emiratisation and its mission to cultivate a future-ready healthcare workforce led by UAE Nationals. To date, the programme has upskilled over 317 employees, with this third cohort being the largest to graduate, reflecting PureHealth’s strategic investment in developing Emirati leadership and maximising the potential of national talent.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi reiterated the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s dedication to empowering Emirati professionals, calling them a cornerstone of national progress. She congratulated the graduates, noting that their achievements demonstrate how ambition combined with opportunity can shape Abu Dhabi’s world-class healthcare ecosystem for a healthier and more sustainable future.
Rashed Al Qubaisi emphasised that the EDC, built on the pillars of innovation, excellence, and national pride, aims to identify promising talent, guide their professional growth, and prepare them for future leadership roles. He praised the graduates for their determination, highlighting that their success mirrors the UAE’s pursuit of excellence and serves as a benchmark of achievement for the region and beyond.
The EDC offers a structured and personalised learning experience, including Individual Development Plans aligned with organisational goals, mentorship, practical projects, and cross-functional on-the-job training in areas such as leadership, business acumen, research, innovation, and strategic development.
As the UAE advances its vision for a diversified, sustainable, and knowledge-based economy, fostering national leadership in healthcare remains a strategic priority. In line with the UAE Economic Vision 2030, the EDC continues to empower Emiratis who aspire to shape the future of the healthcare system and establish a lasting legacy of leadership in the UAE.
