Q Mobility has announced the launch of the paid parking system in Abu Dhabi’s Musaffah area, under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to regulate public parking, improve traffic flow, and enhance mobility in key areas across the emirate.

This system is included in a broader plan to increase the efficiency of public parking management, improve the road user experience, and support commercial activity by facilitating access for visitors and employees to industrial and commercial facilities.

The first phase of the Musaffah paid parking system will cover sectors M1, M2, M3, M4, and M24, with future expansion planned based on traffic demands and area requirements.

Musaffah is one of Abu Dhabi’s major industrial and commercial hubs, experiencing high traffic due to economic and service activities, as well as daily flows of employees and visitors. Increased demand for parking has led to challenges such as limited availability and random parking, affecting traffic flow and mobility efficiency.

The paid parking system aims to address these issues by regulating usage, improving vehicle movement, easing access to facilities, and enhancing road safety. The initiative also supports economic activity by creating a more organized and efficient commercial environment.

In the first phase, 4,680 parking spaces will be activated, including designated spots for People of Determination to ensure accessibility for all users.

The system will go live on 12 January 2026, with a fee of AED 2 per hour for standard parking within the designated zones. Payments can be made via digital platforms, including “Darb” and “TAMM” apps, SMS, or on-site machines, offering a convenient and flexible user experience.
