The UAE is likely to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rainfall on Saturday, March 21, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather department said that convective clouds are expected to form over different parts of the country, which could lead to rainfall, particularly during the day. The development comes amid a spell of unstable weather conditions affecting the region over the past few days.
Temperatures, however, are expected to remain in line with seasonal averages. Abu Dhabi is likely to record a high of around 32°C, while Dubai may see temperatures close to 31°C, the NCM said.
In addition to rainfall, there is a chance of thunderstorms and lightning in some areas, with hail possible in limited locations where cloud activity intensifies.
Authorities are closely monitoring the evolving weather situation. Emergency response teams are coordinating with relevant agencies to ensure preparedness for heavier rainfall or storm activity.
The NCM has advised residents to exercise caution, particularly when driving in rain, as reduced visibility and water accumulation on roads can pose risks.
The current weather pattern is expected to persist in the short term, with forecasts indicating continued cloud cover and a chance of rain over the coming days, especially across the northern and eastern parts of the country.
The rainfall is expected to bring some relief from rising temperatures, even as the UAE gradually transitions towards the warmer summer months.
