The trade balance of Saudi Arabia registered a surplus of SR 22.3 billion in November 2025, with an annual growth rate of 70.2 percent.
According to the data from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) in its international trade bulletin for November, it reflects an augmentation of SR9.2 billion over the same period in 2024, when the surplus had hit SR 13.1 billion.
The data indicated that the trade balance expanded by 5.2 percent month-on-month, reaching SR1.1 billion, compared to October of the same year, when the surplus reached about SR21.3 billion.
The overall international trade volume of the Kingdom in the month of November was about SR177.1 billion, comprising merchandise exports amounting to SR99.7 billion and imports amounting to SR77.4 billion.
Non-oil national exports were estimated to be around SR18.9 billion, which is 19 percent of the total merchandise exports and recorded an annual growth of 4.7 percent, an increase of SR851 million in comparison with an equivalent of SR18.1 billion in the same year of 2024.
The value of petroleum exports was over SR67 billion, which is equivalent to 67.2 percent of total merchandise exports, indicating an increase rate of 5.4 percent or more than SR3 billion compared to SR63.6 billion in the corresponding period last year.
Re-exports also recorded a remarkable rise of SR13.7 billion, a year-on-year growth rate of 53.1 percent, which is 13.8 percent of total merchandise exports as opposed to SR8.9 billion in the same period within the previous year.
In the case of trading partners, Asian countries were at the top of the export list of the importers of the Kingdom, accounting for 75.2 percent of imports, which were worth SR 74.9 billion.
Asian countries were followed by European countries with 9.7 percent (SR 9.7 billion), and then American countries with 7.5 percent (SR 7.5 billion). China maintained its position as the biggest importer of Saudi exports, representing 13.5 percent (SR13.5 billion).
Concerning the non-oil exports, including re-exports, these went through 31 land, sea, and air customs ports with the value totalling SR 32.7 billion. The GASTAT data revealed that King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah was the highest at SR 5.6 billion, followed by Jeddah Islamic Port at SR 3.6 billion.
