Saudi Health Minister ​Fahad bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel​ has conducted high-level meetings with German government officials and industry leaders to promote health collaboration, digital innovation, and the localization of medical technologies.

The Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday that the Saudi minister also visited Germany as part of his official visit to Germany and met his German counterpart, Nina Warken, to discuss cooperation in the field of public health, biomedical research, and innovation.

He also held a meeting with the Federal Joint Committee and the Federal Institute of Risk Assessment to discuss Germany and high-level regulatory systems and risk-assessment procedures.

The SPA stated that AlJalajel visited the headquarters of Bayer to talk about the opportunities in pharmaceutical innovation.

He participated in a roundtable held by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which discussed health investment opportunities and research collaboration.

At the time of the session, the Saudi National Unified Procurement Company signed deals with German companies to support the supply chain and localize technologies.

AlJalajel also paid a visit to Saudi students in the Saudi Embassy in Berlin, commending them on their contribution towards the process of health transformation and reassuring them that the leadership would be willing to invest in the human capital.
