H.H. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that the ‘Young Arab Leaders’ initiative, launched 20 years ago, reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It also shows His Highness’s strong belief in the ability of Arab youth to shape the region’s future. The initiative aims to equip young leaders to support the Arab world’s development goals and preserve its cultural heritage.
In his X post, he mentioned, “The initiative aims to expand its network to 50,000 members, while also launching innovative initiatives and executing transformative projects.”
Mohammed bin Rashid believes that the Arab region holds immense potential, with its 200 million young men and women representing 200 million opportunities to create a prosperous future. They are the region’s most valuable resource, which requires us to build their capacities, develop their skills, and offer opportunities to unlock their hidden potential. By providing a comprehensive platform to empower youth, we can ensure they play a central role in shaping the Arab world’s future. Their active participation is key to driving positive transformations that lead to growth, progress, stability, and prosperity.
The Young Arab Leaders initiative is considered the largest specialized network aimed at supporting promising Arab youth and instilling in them a culture of entrepreneurship, belief in the future, and relentless pursuit of knowledge, thus strengthening comprehensive development plans across the region.-WAM
