Sunset Hospitality Group (SHG), a multinational lifestyle hospitality company, has bought a majority interest in Solutions Group, one of the most recognized operators of nightlife, dining, and entertainment establishments in the UAE, as part of an approach to expedite its international expansion.
The acquisition adds 15 venues to the SHG portfolio of properties, including Asia Asia, Lock, Stock and Barrel, Ula, The 305, Wavehouse, Papas, Central, and En Fuego, to the 100 sites already owned by SHG, spread across 26 countries.
The top management of Solutions Group will be retained to manage the operations and preserve the brand name of the group with the help of the size and global presence of SHG.
Antonio Gonzalez, chairman and group CEO of SHG, said, “Bringing Solutions Group into the SHG family reflects our commitment to investing in operators with proven creativity and international potential. Their portfolio attracts millions of guests each year and has a strong foundation for future expansion.”
Paul Evans, CEO and founder of Solutions Group, mentioned the deal as “a supernova moment; a collision of stars that will fuel exponential growth, unlocking new global chapters for our much-loved homegrown brands, and elevating the careers and aspirations of our exceptional teams.”
Chris Spiliopoulos, chief development officer at SHG, stated that the acquisition would extend SHG into new segments, as it brings award-winning concepts with a significant customer appeal that can be added to the current portfolio.
The agreement is consistent with the wider investment-led approach of SHG that targets partnering with strong performance operators who have scalable ideas and good brand equity.
It is based on recent SHG milestones, such as a strategic investment made in April 2025 by Goldman Sachs and an investment in Maximal Concept Limited in August 2025.
Solutions Group, which was founded in 2013, operates a diversified portfolio in terms of restaurants, entertainment, retail, and wellness facilities. Its brands are known to have friendly and experience-based ideas and innovative hospitality management.
It is believed that the acquisition will bring about operational synergies, increased market reach, and faster geographic expansion of both groups in the global lifestyle hospitality industry.
