Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia Solutions and Networks AE to enhance cooperation in knowledge exchange, drive innovation, and design impactful capacity-building programmes that empower talent and reinforce the region’s innovation ecosystem.
The agreement was signed during SPARK’s annual Ramadan Majlis in the presence of H.H. Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SPARK. The MoU was formalised by Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SPARK, and Rima Manna, Vice President of Network Infrastructure Sales, Middle East and Country Director for the UAE at Nokia.
Through this partnership, both parties will collaborate on advanced training initiatives, specialised master classes, and innovation-driven programmes, including the development of the Tech Matchmaker platform, designed to connect solution providers with innovators, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
The collaboration will centre on four key pillars: fostering knowledge exchange and innovation partnerships; expanding engagement across regional and global networks; jointly developing master classes and capacity-building initiatives; and establishing platforms to support innovation.
Al Mahmoudi noted that the partnership aligns with SPARK’s mission to advance innovation-led development by drawing on global expertise and enhancing talent development efforts.
Dr. Asma Mahmoud Fikri, Director of Government and Corporate Partnerships at SPARK, said,”Using master classes and the Tech Matchmaker concept, we aim to bring together innovators, industry, and stakeholders within a structured framework that accelerates collaboration, strengthens capabilities, and supports scalable innovation outcomes.”
Manna stated that the partnership is focused on linking innovators with industry and fostering the creation of scalable solutions.
