The BRIDGE Summit 2025 provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase innovative projects across the media and creative industries, highlighting the growing influence of advanced technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the sector.
The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) pavilion featured contributions from students of the Faculty of Applied Media and the Faculty of Education, demonstrating how emerging technologies are transforming creative practices and storytelling.
The projects illustrated a seamless blend of traditional art and heritage with modern digital technologies, reflecting a forward-looking vision for the creative industries while preserving a strong sense of national identity.
Notable initiatives included “Farjan,” a jewellery design and 3D modelling project that merges traditional craftsmanship with digital fabrication, complemented by branding and AI-generated promotional content; “Bainouna Luxury Perfume,” a comprehensive commercial branding project for a luxury fragrance line; “NEKO World Brand,” an educational game prototype; and “The Little Farmer,” a story teaching planting concepts through original characters.
In media production and immersive technologies, students presented films tackling social themes through compelling visual storytelling, as well as virtual and augmented reality experiences that allow audiences to engage with local narratives in simulated environments.
Other highlights included digital characters, animations inspired by Emirati folklore, and interactive e-books designed to reinvent early learning with dynamic digital content.
Together, these projects reflect a modern student vision for the creative industries and national identity, showcasing how technology can effectively preserve and transmit Emirati cultural heritage in interactive and engaging ways, while offering educational and media experiences tailored to the digital-native generation.
