Emirates is gearing up for a busy travel this Easter weekend in the UAE. Over 300,000 passengers are expected to depart from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport between April 18 and April 21, the airline announced.
To avoid delays amid anticipated traffic congestion in and around the terminal, Emirates is urging travellers to arrive early and ensure all travel documents are in order.
Check-In Options
Passengers can check in online via emirates.com or the Emirates App up to 48 hours before departure, receiving a digital boarding pass for a smoother experience.
Airport Check-in Counters: Open 24 hours before departure for most flights and 12 hours for US-bound flights.
Early Bag Drop: Travellers are encouraged to drop their luggage the night before or check in early to head straight to immigration or use biometric gates for a faster clearance process.
Additional Check-In Locations
For added convenience, Emirates offers two off-site check-in options:
City Check-In & Travel Store at ICD Brookfield Place (DIFC): Open 24 to 4 hours before departure (excluding US-bound flights).
Ajman Central Bus Terminal: Check-in available 24 to 4 hours prior to departure.
Boarding Timelines and Final Reminders
To ensure smooth operations and on-time departures, Emirates reminds travellers of the following:
Passport control and security must be cleared at least 90 minutes before departure.
Premium Economy and Economy passengers should arrive at the gate no later than 60 minutes before departure, while First and Business Class passengers should be there 45 minutes before.
Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before take-off, and late arrivals will not be accepted.
