UAE Airlifts Injured Woman, Family After Major Traffic Accident In Oman

A woman involved in a serious traffic accident in Oman has been airlifted to the UAE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday. The rescue mission marks the fourth such operation in recent times and was conducted in coordination with the National Guard’s National Search and Rescue Centre.

The woman, who sustained significant injuries in the accident, initially received treatment at Nizwa Hospital in Oman. Following her stabilization, she was transported to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in the UAE aboard a search and rescue plane, ensuring she received further specialized care.

In a statement on social media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the Omani authorities for their swift cooperation and support to the UAE Embassy in Muscat, which was crucial in facilitating the successful air ambulance mission.

The Ministry also took the opportunity to remind travelers of the importance of road safety, emphasizing the need to exercise caution, adhere to traffic laws, and follow speed limits to prevent accidents and protect lives.
