H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Johann Wadephul, Germany’s Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a working visit to Berlin.
The discussions focused on the strategic relations between the UAE and Germany and explored ways to further strengthen and advance cooperation in line with the shared interests of both friendly nations, fostering a more dynamic and prosperous partnership across various sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and Wadephul examined opportunities to enhance bilateral collaboration and reinforce the comprehensive strategic partnership in several key areas, including the economy, investment, trade, and industry, as well as renewable energy, food security, science, and advanced technology.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah underscored that UAE-Germany strategic ties represent a model of constructive cooperation built on a common vision to promote stability and prosperity. He noted that the continued expansion of this partnership reflects the strong and deep-rooted relations between the two countries.
H.H. further highlighted the commitment of both the UAE and Germany to broadening cooperation, particularly in vital sectors that contribute to comprehensive development and sustainable economic growth for their nations and peoples.
The two sides also addressed regional developments and the escalating situation in the region following the Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other brotherly and friendly countries.
They emphasized the need to intensify international efforts to strengthen security and stability, and to pursue diplomatic solutions that would prevent further tension and escalation in the region.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State; Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability; and Ahmed Alattar, UAE Ambassador to Germany.
