His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved a AED 2 billion housing support package benefiting 2,971 Emirati citizens, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to strengthening family stability and social cohesion through modern housing solutions.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid noted that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, places housing at the core of its national priorities, reflecting a deeply rooted approach to ensuring dignified living conditions for citizens.
Details of the Package
The approvals, issued under the Zayed Housing Programme, amount to AED 2,069,200,000 and include:
- 522 housing grants under the directives of the UAE President, worth AED 355 million.
- A total of 595 approvals for government housing loans, totalling AED 246.2 million.
- 24 approvals for government housing grants/benefits, worth AED 19 million.
- 1,830 housing finance approvals, valued at AED 1.449 billion.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid emphasized that adequate housing is a cornerstone of family stability and national well-being, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to developing a comprehensive housing ecosystem that meets citizens’ needs efficiently and with high standards of quality.
Long-Term Commitment
From July 2022 to September 2025, the Zayed Housing Programme has issued 11,298 approvals, with a total value approaching AED 9 billion. This underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable and advanced housing solutions nationwide.
