The UAE will be represented by para-athletes Ahmed Al Badwawi and Abdullah Al Balushi at the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Belgium, scheduled from August 24 to September 1, the National Paralympic Committee has announced.
The committee confirmed that the national team is currently in the final phase of its preparations, with a training camp in Andorra running until August 23. This follows a three-week camp in Spain from July 15 to August 1, designed to enhance the athletes’ physical readiness and competitive edge.
Both camps have been held under the supervision of national coach Mohammed Al Marwi, who expressed confidence in the cyclists’ ability to deliver strong performances against the world’s best.
The UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships will feature elite para-cyclists from across the globe, competing in multiple classifications and disciplines.
