A Jordan-based private media outlet was recently informed by travel agencies that Jordanian citizens will no longer be issued visas for the UAE. Reports suggest a malfunction in the UAE’s visa system, leading to a temporary halt on visas for Jordanian nationals. The UAE has since cleared the air and denied such claims. The UAE will continue to remain open to Jordanian visitors and reassures that systems will be fully operational soon.
Jordan’s Roya News received word from travel agencies stating, “We regret to inform you that all visa applications for the UAEÂ from Jordanian citizens are currently being rejected. We are awaiting further clarification from the UAE immigration authorities regarding this matter.”
UAE authorities have urged Jordanian travelers to stay vigilant and monitor official channels for new updates on travel to the Emirates. In 2015, the UAE launched an online visa service for visa issuance, open to Jordanian citizens who wish to travel to the UAE. The eVisa system, easily accessible via platforms like iVisa, allows travelers to stay in the UAE for up to 30 days, with the visa valid for 60 days from the date of issuance.
