The UAE Ministry of Interior has extradited a wanted fugitive to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, following his arrest by Dubai Police on the basis of an Interpol Red Notice.
The individual faces charges including drug trafficking, money laundering, and involvement in gang-related activities. His transfer was carried out after a UAE court ruling and a decision by the Ministry of Justice to approve the extradition.
Strengthening International Cooperation
The Ministry of Interior underscored that the handover reflects the UAE’s commitment to international legal frameworks and its active role in strengthening global security.
Authorities emphasized that cross-border collaboration is crucial in combating transnational organized crime and safeguarding societies against the threats posed by criminal networks.
This extradition adds to a series of UAE-led operations underlining the country’s alignment with Interpol directives and its emphasis on building strong judicial and policing partnerships with European counterparts.
