The Nahr Al Hayat Fund, a healthcare initiative of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), has launched a four-day medical camp in the Union of the Comoros to support children suffering from serious illnesses, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Moroni.
The camp, held in a village near the capital, offered comprehensive medical check-ups, treatment, and medication to dozens of children.
The Fund’s management expressed appreciation to the UAE Embassy in Moroni for its efforts in ensuring the success of the initiative.
Since its establishment two years ago, the Nahr Al Hayat Fund has provided treatment to nearly 2,500 children across seven countries: Jordan, Tanzania, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Morocco, and the Union of the Comoros.
As part of its new strategy to expand outreach, the Fund has begun arranging and covering the costs of transferring children abroad when local healthcare options are unavailable, while ensuring care is delivered locally whenever possible.
In addition, it has built partnerships with specialised hospitals, established a network of distinguished collaborators, and engaged volunteer medical teams to work collectively toward securing a healthier future for children around the world.
