The Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement (Tawazun), the UAE’s national authority responsible for enabling, regulating, and sustaining the country’s defence and security industrial ecosystem, announced the signing of nine new contracts totalling AED1.012 billion on behalf of the Ministry of Defence on the fifth and final day of the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow 2025.
This brings the total number of contracts signed on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and Abu Dhabi Police during the five-day exhibition to 36, with a combined value of AED25.455 billion.
The announcement was made during a press conference attended by Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi, Abdulla Ahmed Al Saeedi, and Manea Abdulkarim Al Mansoori, the Council’s official spokespersons.
Manea Al Mansoori noted that the local deals signed on the final day included six contracts worth AED544.675 million. These comprised two contracts with M4 Trading: the first, valued at AED57.636 million, for the procurement of a Grand Control Station, and the second, worth AED161.634 million, for aircraft procurement.
Additional agreements included an AED29 million contract with Al Taif Technical Services Company for maintenance of cooling equipment and power generators, a contract worth AED154.5 million with MP3 Company to supply materials, equipment, and spare parts for pilots and aerial rescue operations, a contract with International Golden Group for aerial drop systems valued at AED65.905 million, and an AED76 million contract with Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI) to procure drones.
Abdulla Al Saeedi added that three international contracts were signed on the Airshow’s final day, totaling AED467.913 million. Two of these were with U.S.-based Lockheed Martin: the first, valued at AED184 million, for technical support services covering maintenance and spare parts for portable devices, and the second, worth AED63.551 million, for technical support services for aircraft simulator spare parts.
The third international contract, signed with U.S. company Raytheon, involved the purchase of friendly force identification systems for AED220.362 million.
Through these agreements, the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement continues to reinforce its role as a strategic partner for the Ministry of Defence, unifying national efforts to develop a comprehensive and sustainable defence ecosystem that strengthens the UAE’s capabilities and aligns with the country’s long-term vision.
In his closing remarks, Majed Al Jaberi highlighted that the achievements of the five-day exhibition demonstrate the success of the Council’s vision to empower the defence and security sector through strategic partnerships with public and private entities. He also underscored the increasing role of national companies in executing high-value projects that advance local capabilities in defence, aviation, and space.
Al Jaberi further stated that the Council remains dedicated to fostering an innovative, knowledge-driven environment, supporting the UAE’s transition to a technology-based national economy, and cementing the country’s status as a global hub for advanced, future-focused defence industries.
