Despite the region’s hot climate, the UAE has successfully transformed summer into a thriving tourism season, thanks to world-class infrastructure, promotional campaigns, hotel offers, and indoor entertainment experiences. Preliminary data show hotel occupancy rates ranging between 60 and 70 percent in July and early August.

Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan emphasized that the UAE’s summer tourism success underscores its reputation as a safe, modern, and premium global destination. He credited this to the wise vision of the country’s leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which places innovation, quality of life, and societal stability at the forefront of national priorities.
The UAE consistently ranks high in global indices of personal security and community safety, ensuring visitors enjoy peace of mind whether exploring cultural sites, nightlife, or intercity travel.
Major Events Across the Emirates
This summer, Abu Dhabi hosted the 21st Liwa Dates Festival, which welcomed nearly 145,000 visitors, alongside the Historic Dalma Race Festival and the 6th IMMAF Youth World Championships, drawing over 1,000 athletes from 60 countries.
In Dubai, the Dubai Summer Surprises festival runs until 31st August, offering shopping promotions, raffles, prizes, and live entertainment. Sharjah is hosting Sharjah Summer Promotions, blending tourism with retail activity to enhance consumer experiences.
