The UAE National Pavilion made a strong impression on the opening day of the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference 2026, attracting high-level delegations and significant footfall at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Backed by the UAE Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council, and organised by ADNEC Group, the pavilion quickly emerged as a focal point of the event, reflecting the country’s growing influence in the global defence and security landscape.
Among the notable visitors was a high-level Malaysian delegation led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin, who toured the pavilion alongside senior military officials and dignitaries. Their visit highlighted the importance of defence cooperation between the UAE and Malaysia, as well as broader regional engagement.
The pavilion showcased a wide spectrum of advanced defence capabilities, spanning land, air and maritime systems, alongside cybersecurity and defence manufacturing solutions. The diversity of exhibits underscored the UAE’s push to position itself as a hub for innovation in multi-domain defence technologies.
Interest was not limited to regional partners. Delegations from countries including Thailand, Serbia, Nigeria, Cambodia and Zimbabwe also visited the pavilion, reinforcing its role as a platform for international collaboration and strategic dialogue.
Throughout the day, the pavilion drew more than 1,800 visitors, ranging from senior military officials to industry stakeholders. The level of engagement translated into tangible outcomes as well, with over 50 meetings held between exhibitors and potential partners, pointing to growing commercial and strategic interest in UAE defence offerings.
Key Emirati players such as EDGE Group, Calidus, Resource Industries and ASIS Boats drew particular attention with their latest systems and technologies.
At the same time, ADNEC Group used the platform to promote its upcoming defence events, including IDEX and NAVDEX 2027, as well as UMEX and SimTEX 2028, signalling a continued effort to expand the UAE’s footprint in the global exhibition and defence ecosystem.
With strong attendance, active engagement and a steady stream of high-level visits, the UAE Pavilion’s opening day performance reflects both the depth of its defence industry and its growing role in shaping international security partnerships.
