UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Qatar’s Emir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha to discuss the strong bilateral relations and ways to further enhance cooperation for the benefit of both nations and their peoples. The leaders reviewed recent developments in the Middle East, focusing on efforts to promote peace, stability, and regional prosperity.
Sheikh Tamim welcomed the UAE President on a fraternal visit aimed at strengthening the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and supporting Gulf cooperation. The discussions included regional and international issues, particularly the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed praised Sheikh Tamim’s role in facilitating the ceasefire and emphasized the importance of coordinated international efforts to maintain security in the region. He also reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Qatar following a recent attack on its territory and expressed full support for Qatar’s measures to protect its security and citizens.
Sheikh Tamim thanked the UAE President for his heartfelt support and praised the UAE’s solidarity amid recent challenges. Both leaders stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving crises and ensuring regional and global security, reported WAM.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
After the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed left Qatar, receiving a warm farewell from Sheikh Tamim and other senior officials.
