On Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense in the UAE announced that four soldiers were killed and nine were injured in an unspecified accident. According to a military statement published on WAM, the soldiers perished in “an accident while carrying out their duty in the country.”
Nasser Al Balooshi and Abdulaziz Al Taniji were two of the four soldiers who were killed in the accident. Their funeral prayers were performed on Wednesday at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in the Al Jurf area in Ajman. Local authorities confirm that the accident occurred on September 24. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, performed the funeral prayer after Maghrib.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and the ruler of Ajman expressed their sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the soldiers. Sheikh Hamdan visited the injured soldiers from the accident at Zayed Military Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
