The UAE is set to experience a noticeable dip in temperatures today, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Conditions will be dusty to partly cloudy, with strong northwesterly winds expected to stir up sand and reduce visibility in some areas. Particular areas of Dubai, like TeCom, Greens, and Media City, have seen a significant change in the weather around 3.00 PM, UAE local time.

UAE weather gets dusty, windy

Going forward for the day, temperatures will range from 36°C to 40°C inland, 33°C to 37°C along the coast, and 31°C to 36°C in the mountains. This comes after a hot day yesterday, when Fujairah Airport recorded a peak of 46°C. Winds could reach speeds of up to 50 km/h.

The NCM has also issued a marine warning for the Arabian Gulf, where rough seas and waves up to 9 feet high are expected. The advisory remains in effect until noon on May 8, and residents, especially those at sea, are urged to be cautious.

Due to the strong, dusty winds, NCM warns people about outdoor activities near the coastline areas and requests that to comply with the instructions issued by the authorities.
