The UAE Tennis and Padel Federation is hosting the local ranking tournament “Ellington 2026,” which serves as the opening event of the UAE Padel Tour 2026, as part of the ongoing Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament.
The competition is taking place at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in collaboration with the Ellington Sports Foundation, which seeks to nurture emerging talent, raise the level of competition, and provide structured, sustainable development pathways for players from a young age, helping to build a long-term sporting culture in the UAE.
The tournament is one of 35 events scheduled across the UAE during the 2026 UAE Padel Tour season, aligning with a strategy to broaden the sport’s reach and strengthen its presence at both community and competitive levels.
The event features three competitive categories, including the 20-point category, alongside men’s and women’s divisions, with 16 teams competing in each category.
The semi-finals for all three categories are scheduled for tomorrow, with the finals set to take place on Tuesday.
