The UAE weather has taken a hit today. The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a dust storm warning affecting key areas of the Emirates. Both Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport may experience visibility levels dropping below 2,000 meters, a condition that could significantly disrupt flights and ground travel. This alert remains in force until 5 p.m. today.
At the same time, fresh easterly winds of up to 40 km/h have been recorded over the Arabian Gulf, stirring the waters and raising offshore wave heights to as much as 6 feet, especially between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m..

What to Expect:
Reduced Visibility: Drivers approaching affected airports or highways should slow down and use headlights, as dust may severely limit sightlines.
Flight Disruptions: Travelers are urged to check flight status updates and be prepared for potential delays or cancellations.
Choppy Seas: Boaters should be cautious and preferably avoid going offshore, given the heightened wave activity during the daytime.
