The UAE weather is bracing for fluctuating conditions over the next few days, with fresh Northwesterly winds and rough seas set to continue in the Oman Sea and the Arabian Gulf.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert, warning of fresh Northwesterly winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. These strong winds, combined with rough seas, will result in wave heights of up to 6 feet offshore in both the Oman Sea and Arabian Gulf.
The rough conditions are expected to persist until 6.00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024, in the Oman Sea.

Outdoor activities should be limited, and the public is urged to adhere to advice issued by authorities to stay safe during this period. The weather could lead to hazardous conditions, with exceptional severity in some areas, including the possibility of blowing dust and sand.

In addition to the strong winds, the UAE is also experiencing a significant drop in temperatures. The lowest temperature recorded this morning was 5.8°C in Jais Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah, at 7.45 AM UAE local time.
On Sunday, December 15, from 11.00 PM until 12.00 AM Monday, December 16, strong Northwesterly winds, reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h, reduced horizontal visibility to less than 2,500 meters at times. The NCM advises the public to stay updated on weather forecasts and to take necessary precautions, especially when traveling or engaging in outdoor activities.
