The UAE jiu-jitsu team clinched a total of 18 medals, including 6 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze, at the 7th edition of the AJP Tour Asia Continental Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which concluded on Sunday at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi.
The championship, organised by Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro (AJP) from September 5–7, drew participation from more than 1,800 athletes representing 10 nationalities, reinforcing its reputation as a premier continental event on the global jiu-jitsu calendar.
The UAE athletes, representing various clubs and academies, delivered standout performances across divisions, securing podium finishes and further strengthening the country’s standing as a regional and international powerhouse in the sport.
The tournament featured competitions across professional, masters, youth, and junior categories, and once again highlighted Abu Dhabi’s position as the world capital of jiu-jitsu by hosting an event that met high professional and organisational standards.
The strong showing adds to the UAE’s growing medal tally on the international stage, underscoring the success of the nation’s investment in nurturing talent and promoting jiu-jitsu as part of its sporting and cultural identity.
