According to a press release, Waha Capital was added to the recently launched FTSE ADX Dividend Stars Index, which is the first income-oriented benchmark equity gauge in the region.
The index comprises 17 companies launched in December 2025 by the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) in collaboration with FTSE Russell, and which together comprised over 70 percent of the total cash dividends distributed by ADX-listed companies in 2025.
The FTSE ADX Dividend Stars Index is created to highlight firms having robust and stable dividend policies, providing a clear benchmark to institutional and income-focused investors.
Managing Director of Waha Capital, Mohamed Hussain Al Nowais, said, “Waha Capital’s inclusion in the FTSE ADX Dividend Stars Index reflects the strength, consistency, and sustainability of our earnings profile. Our ability to deliver attractive dividends over time is anchored in our diversified business model that is underpinned by disciplined capital allocation.”
Al Nowais stated that“As Abu Dhabi’s capital markets continue to attract global investor interest, we remain focused on delivering long-term value as well as consistent and reliable income for our shareholders.”
Therefore, Waha Capital has built up a good track record of dividend returns that is backed by high cash generation in its diversified investment platform. The company declared a 10 fils per share cash dividend on net profit in the year 2024.
Meanwhile, the index has a wide breadth of industries, such as financials, energy, industrials, consumer sectors, and basic materials, which underpins its position as a representative measure of the growing and more globalized Abu Dhabi equity market.
It also follows the FTSE Target Diversification process that balances the quality and concentration and focuses on providing stable income features.
The inclusion of Waha Capital in the index comes after a strong performance in 2025, where the company has posted a growth of 22 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in net profit attributable to the shareholders of AED 343 million in the first nine months (9M) of the year 2025.
Its 9M-25 high financial performance was attributed to it strong recurring income through its assets management company Waha Investment, which is one of the top emerging markets asset managers, value realization through its diversified multi-asset business, and monetization and renting assets and rental income from Waha Land, its industrial and logistics platform.
