The inaugural World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES Summit 2025) kicked off on Thursday in India, at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, gathering a star-studded crowd from Bollywood. In already viral clips on the internet, global icon Shah Rukh Khan was seen making a dotting entry.

Shah Rukh Khan left fans in awe with his charismatic entry and was also seen greeting event organizers upon his arrival. Later in time, other major actors like Chiranjeevi, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Rajinikanth, among others, made notable appearances.
Not just them, but the event also saw the attendance of Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, and Hema Malini, showcasing its larger scale.
The event, organized by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is designed to highlight India’s spiritual heritage while fostering growth in the creator economy. Its theme, “Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries,” reflects the global ambition of the summit.
About WAVES 2025
WAVES 2025 promises to be a major international gathering, with over 10,000 delegates from more than 90 countries. The event includes 42 plenary sessions, 39 breakout sessions, and 32 masterclasses that will cover a wide range of topics, including broadcasting, infotainment, films, and digital media. The event also features India’s first Global Media Dialogue, where ministers from 25 countries will participate in discussions.
PM Narendra Modi’s arrival at WAVES 2025
India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, inaugurated the event today and also toured the Bharat Pavilion, celebrating India’s cultural and creative contributions.
