Yusuffali M. A., Chairman of LuLu Group International, met Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, in New Delhi and expressed gratitude for India’s continued support in ensuring uninterrupted food supplies to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries amid ongoing global disruptions.

Yusuffali highlighted India’s critical role in maintaining steady food exports to the Gulf region at a time when geopolitical tensions and supply chain challenges have disrupted global trade flows.

He said LuLu Group has been working closely with Indian authorities and suppliers to strengthen food security across GCC markets, ensuring consistent availability of essential commodities.

The meeting also focused on the company’s efforts to expand sourcing from India, improve logistics networks, and deepen partnerships with Indian farmers and producers.

India remains one of the largest food suppliers to the GCC countries, with strong trade ties that support the movement of agricultural produce, staples, and processed goods across the region.

The interaction underscores the importance of India-GCC economic relations, particularly in essential sectors such as food supply, as both sides work to navigate an uncertain global environment shaped by geopolitical and supply chain pressures.
