Dubai Police have introduced a new online platform to raise awareness about cybercrime and help people protect themselves from online fraud. Created by the Cybercrime Department at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensics, the platform is available in Arabic and English and provides easy-to-understand information on preventing cybercrime.
The website, accessible at https://ecrimehub.gov.ae/ar, aims to educate everyone — including children, parents, business owners, employees, and social media users — about common online scams and how to stay safe.

Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Search and Investigation, said the platform was launched under the guidance of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. He stressed that awareness is the best defense against crimes like cybercrime, especially as more people rely on digital platforms and social media.
The platform offers practical advice on cybersecurity basics, such as recognizing phishing emails, creating strong passwords, and protecting devices like smartphones and computers. It also explains how to avoid online threats such as phone scams, fake messages, QR code fraud, and identity theft.
Users can find helpful videos, tips on safe browsing, and detailed steps for reporting cybercrimes and recovering from attacks. There is also advice for different groups, including residents, tourists, companies, and government workers, on how to strengthen their online security.
Major Abdullah Al Shehi, Director of the Cybercrime Investigation Department, said the platform will help users spot risks early and take action to protect themselves from cyber fraud and emerging threats like deepfakes and AI-generated scams.
Dubai Police hope this easy-to-use platform will help the community stay safe and secure in an increasingly digital world.
