The project, spanning 2.8 kilometers, is a key component of Ajman’s infrastructure development initiatives, which aim to support rapid population growth, urban expansion, and economic development in the emirate.
The new development enhances traffic flow, improves road safety, and facilitates better connectivity within one of Ajman’s fastest-growing districts. It also demonstrates the government’s commitment to achieving high-quality infrastructure standards in line with Ajman Vision 2030, which aspires to build a sustainable, efficient, and integrated transportation network.
The Ajman Municipality stated that the project aligns with its broader strategy to enhance public service infrastructure, thereby improving the quality of life and mobility across the emirate. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to future-proof Ajman’s urban environment through strategic planning and innovative development.
The Sheikh Zayed Street upgrade is expected to alleviate congestion in the Al Helio area, enhance road capacity, and contribute to sustainable urban mobility.
