Ajman Chamber Strengthens Economic Relations With Nepal

Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry held discussions on enhancing economic cooperation and developing direct investments with Nepal.

Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of Ajman Chamber, received Tej Bahadur Chhetri, Ambassador of Nepal to the UAE, at the Chamber’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Ajman Chamber, along with a Nepali delegation led by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Sheikh Sultan emphasized Ajman’s commitment to strengthening economic relations with countries worldwide and providing a sustainable investment environment that supports investors across multiple sectors, including industry, commerce, tourism, services, education, healthcare, real estate, and construction.

He noted that Ajman Chamber operates according to an annual plan focused on enhancing external cooperation, opening new avenues for economic and investment partnerships, supporting business competitiveness, attracting high-quality investments, and enabling local products to access global markets.

Sheikh Sultan highlighted Ajman’s key advantages, such as efficient government services, competitive operating costs, strategic geographic location, advanced infrastructure, and flexible legislation that fosters business growth and investment.

The meeting reviewed prospects for joint cooperation and ways to develop mutual investments in sectors including agriculture, education, tourism, industry, financial services, information technology, and retail.

Discussions also addressed opportunities to increase trade exchange between Ajman and Nepal, promoting mutual interests and supporting private sector growth on both sides.

Participants explored available investment opportunities in Al Manama and Masfout, and Ajman Chamber invited the Nepali delegation to visit the emirate and participate in the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition 2026.

The meeting recommended organising joint forums and events to bring together business owners and investors from both countries, highlighting investment opportunities and stressing the importance of sharing information and studies to enhance trade and investment relations.

Ambassador Chhetri expressed Nepal’s interest in strengthening economic and trade cooperation with Ajman and exploring partnerships in sectors of mutual interest. He also invited Ajman Chamber to visit Nepal to review investment opportunities.

The meeting concluded with both sides underlining the importance of expanding cooperation, exchanging expertise, and exploring promising investment opportunities to open new horizons for economic partnerships.
