Agthia Group PJSC reported strong financial results for the first quarter of 2026, with net profit rising 12.5 percent year-on-year to AED96.9 million, supported by operational efficiency improvements, stronger margins, and disciplined execution across its diversified portfolio.
The Abu Dhabi-based food and beverage company posted Group net revenue of AED 1.3 billion for the quarter, a 3.3 percent increase from the same period last year. EBITDA also rose 4.1 percent to AED193.3 million.
The company said its performance reflected strong execution across core business segments, ongoing transformation initiatives, and its ability to maintain operational continuity amid a challenging regional operating environment.
Khalifa Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Agthia’s Board, said the quarter highlighted the importance of resilience and disciplined execution.
“The first quarter reinforced the importance of resilience, discipline, and long-term perspective in navigating a more complex operating environment,” he said.
He added that the company’s performance demonstrates the strength of its fundamentals and its role in supporting the UAE’s broader food security agenda.
Salmeen Alameri, Managing Director and CEO of Agthia Group, said the company responded to regional challenges with agility while maintaining uninterrupted supply operations.
“Our first-quarter performance reflects disciplined execution across the business, the strength of our diversified portfolio, and the commitment of our teams across the Group,” Alameri said.
He noted that transformation initiatives across the business are beginning to deliver clearer operational and financial improvements, contributing to stronger margins and a more resilient earnings profile.
Agthia said its Water & Food segment remained a major growth driver during the quarter, supported by strong demand for UAE bottled water products and Home and Office Services.
The Protein & Frozen division also recorded encouraging progress as the company continued transformation efforts and accelerated the expansion of its Saudi protein facility. The company confirmed that Phase II of the facility is now operational, adding further production capacity.
Meanwhile, the Agri-Business segment delivered resilient results and continued participating in UAE food security-related programmes.
The Snacking business continued its strategic reset to improve future growth prospects and profitability.
Agthia also reported strong momentum in digital sales, with e-commerce revenue increasing 22.5 percent year-on-year. Online sales accounted for 7.2 percent of the Group’s underlying revenue during the quarter.
The results reinforce Agthia’s position as one of the UAE’s leading food and beverage companies as it continues to expand its regional operations and strengthen long-term growth initiatives.
