At least 31 people were killed and 40 others wounded following Israeli air raids targeting multiple areas across Lebanon on Tuesday, according to Lebanese health authorities.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said its Public Health Emergency Operations Centre recorded heavy casualties in several towns and cities in southern Lebanon.
According to the ministry, 14 people were killed and 16 injured in the Burj El Shemali area near the southern city of Tyre.
The ministry added that five people were killed and six wounded in Kouthariyeh El Siyad, while four people died and 10 others were injured in Haboush.
In Maarakah, six people were killed and six wounded, while two people died and two others were injured in the town of Sel’aa.
The latest strikes come amid escalating tensions and continued cross-border hostilities in the region. No immediate statement was issued regarding the raids.
