Celebrity Chef Kunal Kapur’s restaurant, Pincode, located at Dubai Hills Mall and The Galleria, Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is offering a complimentary Ghewar dessert to all guests dining in on Thursday, August 15, 2025, in honor of India’s 78th Independence Day.
This opulent restaurant is nestled within the hustle and bustle of one of Dubai’s most luxurious malls. We were lucky to try the Ghewar, a festive delicacy from Rajasthan, personally served by the chef there, himself.
Crisp and honeycombed, dipped in saffron syrup, and dressed up with silver leaf and chopped nuts. Often served during celebratory occasions, this dessert is more than just a sweet ending. It’s a reminder of heritage, joy, and the simple moments that bring people together. The Rabdi within just added to the softness and melting flavors. Not just this, to delight our tummies, we also tried their newly added Beetroot Kanji salad, with guacamole, sweet mustard dressing – So light, so creamy, and healthy, of course.
Next, we tried their best-selling Potato Spiral Chaat, which instantly took me back to Mumbai, India; the ragda and chutneys had me licking my fingers. Known for its regional Indian soul food served with a contemporary twist, Pincode’s dishes scream a heartfelt tribute to India’s journey through flavor, culture, and community.
