Emirates Glass, a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC and one of the region’s leading glass processors, has signed a five-year Manufacturing and Distribution Agreement with Australia’s ClearVue Technologies Limited (ASX: CPV) to locally produce and distribute next-generation solar glazing solutions across the UAE and wider GCC.
Production is scheduled to begin later this year, marking a significant step in integrating renewable energy technologies into building materials across the region.
Solar Glass Meets Regional Sustainability Goals
The partnership enables Emirates Glass to manufacture ClearVue’s solar-integrated glass, which generates electricity from sunlight while maintaining clarity, insulation, and fire safety standards. The technology can be deployed in façades, skylights, curtainwalls, windows, canopies, and greenhouses, offering developers a way to embed energy generation directly into building envelopes.
ClearVue’s Integrated Solar Façade design not only produces on-site renewable energy but also enhances natural light, insulation, and thermal performance —a particularly valuable feature in hot climates such as the UAE’s.
Leadership Comments
Rizwanulla Khan, Executive President of Emirates Glass, said:
“We are excited to partner with ClearVue and introduce this innovative technology to our customers across the region. As the construction sector continues to evolve, the need for energy-efficient, high-performance building materials is more urgent than ever.”
Doug Hunt, Global CEO of ClearVue Technologies, added:
“The UAE and GCC are ideal markets for our solar facade solutions, given the region’s focus on sustainability and abundance of sunlight.”
Supporting the UAE’s Net Zero Vision
The agreement grants Emirates Glass non-exclusive distribution rights across the GCC, capitalizing on the region’s growing demand for sustainable construction materials. It also directly supports the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative, positioning Emirates Glass and Dubai Investments as key players at the intersection of industrial innovation and environmental responsibility.
