Belgian enterprise software firm Odoo has launched its latest version, Odoo 19, at the annual Odoo Experience event held on September 18. The new release places artificial intelligence (AI) at the centre of its ERP suite, while also introducing tools for ESG compliance, industry-specific workflows, and enhanced communication capabilities. The move comes as businesses globally accelerate digital transformation and seek integrated platforms that combine automation, compliance, and scalability.

Odoo 19 integrates AI across its core modules, enabling predictive analytics, smart automation, and real-time decision support. Features such as intelligent lead scoring, automated invoice reconciliation, and predictive inventory management are designed to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency. The company said the new version reflects a shift from task automation to intelligence-driven business processes.

The platform also introduces ESG compliance tools, allowing businesses to track environmental impact, manage ethical sourcing, and generate sustainability reports aligned with global standards. This aligns with growing regulatory and investor focus on non-financial disclosures. In addition, Odoo 19 deepens its industry-specific capabilities, offering tailored modules for sectors such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and logistics. These include pre-configured workflows, compliance templates, and sector-specific KPIs.

The user interface has been refined for better navigation and mobile responsiveness, while the VoIP system has been overhauled to improve call clarity and integration with CRM and helpdesk modules. Search functionality has also been upgraded, enabling users to retrieve data using natural language queries. The company said these changes are aimed at improving usability and collaboration across teams.

Odoo 19 is designed for smoother migration, reducing friction for existing users upgrading from earlier versions. The company has also expanded its cloud infrastructure to support faster deployment across geographies. With over 12 million users globally, Odoo continues to position itself as a cost-effective alternative to legacy ERP systems, particularly for SMEs and mid-sized enterprises.

Aadil Moosa, from Techbot, an Odoo Partner who attended the launch event, said the new release reflects a maturing ecosystem that is ready to scale globally. “Odoo 19 is a game-changer for partners and clients alike. The AI capabilities are not just cosmetic; they’re deeply embedded and genuinely useful. ESG tools are a timely addition, especially for clients in regulated industries. This version shows Odoo is listening to the market and building for the future.”

The release of Odoo 19 reflects a broader trend in enterprise software, where automation, compliance, and vertical depth are becoming essential rather than optional. As businesses seek to consolidate tools and reduce complexity, platforms like Odoo are expected to gain further traction. Industry analysts believe the integration of AI and ESG tools will become standard across ERP platforms over the next 12 to 18 months, with Odoo 19 setting a benchmark for mid-market adoption.
