Saudi Arabia will unveil its first Six Flags theme park on December 31, 2025, and Qiddiya City is in a rush to become a big regional entertainment, sports, and cultural destination.

The park, the first Six Flags to be built outside of North America, is a part of the flagship project of Qiddiya Investment Co., located on the outskirts of Riyadh.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that Qiddiya City is situated in the Tuwaiq Mountains, approximately 40 minutes from the capital, and is being promoted as a master-planned destination developed based on the “Power of Play” of the company.

Qiddiya will play a key role in the Saudi Arabia transformation strategy under Vision 2030, with the Kingdom aiming to have up to 150 million visitors every year by 2030 as the country transitions beyond oil-driven development.

Six Flags and Aquarabia Qiddiya City, Brian Machamer said that “Six Flags Qiddiya City not only opens its door to the public for the first time, it starts to showcase everything Qiddiya City stands for: bold imagination, unforgettable experiences, and a new benchmark for global entertainment.”

Six Flags Qiddiya City will contain 28 rides, with some being advertised as record-breakers, such as the Falcons Flight roller coaster, which remains the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest; the Iron Rattler, reported as the world’s tallest tilt coaster; and Spitfire, promoted as the world’s tallest inverted coaster.

The park also features 18 family-oriented rides and international dining outlets, and retail stores offering exclusive Six Flags merchandise.

The Qiddiya City will have hundreds of attractions in the city, together with residential, retail, office, hospitality, healthcare, and educational facilities in a major mixed-use district.

The development is a significant part of the broader strategy of Saudi Arabia to increase its tourism industry and develop its economy beyond oil.

The theme park will start its operations on a daily basis at 4 p.m., with free shuttles that will move visitors between the specific parking areas and those who are using Jeddah Metro Station, where the services will start at 3 p.m. Therefore, the guests with disabilities can access all the shuttle services.

The prices will begin at SR325 ($87) per adult ticket and SR275 per child ticket, and children under the age of four will be free. Tourists will be able to buy an Unlimited GoFast Pass so that they can have priority access to some selected rides.

There will be discounted tickets for individuals with special needs, senior citizens, and companions will be sold exclusively at the park, which starts from SR75.
