The opening day of the 2025 Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix welcomed fans with the traditional F1 Pit Lane Walk, giving them a first look at teams preparing for the final race of the season.
Visitors at Yas Marina Circuit’s were able to watch mechanics and engineers working on the cars, with some catching brief glimpses of drivers.
In addition to the F1 Pit Lane Walk, the Thursday programme introduced the brand-new FAB Track Walk, giving fans the opportunity to step directly onto Yas Marina Circuit. Starting from the Main Fanzone, visitors walked the track from Turn 3 to Turn 16, passed through Abu Dhabi Hill, and experienced photo moments, display cars, activations, and F&B stops.
From there, fans could continue their track walk or access the F1 Pit Lane Walk via Tunnel 4 for a behind-the-scenes look at team garages just hours before the title-deciding weekend begins. Entry to the Pit Lane Walk remains first-come, first-served and subject to limited capacity.
The fan access expands further in the evening, with a second F1 Pit Lane Walk and the FAB Track Walk returning under the lights. Fans will also be given the option to continue towards Etihad Park for the Benson Boone Yasalam After-Race Concert. Both experiences remain first-come, first-served, with registration through the app.
As the 75th season reaches its final chapter, the championship arrives in Abu Dhabi with a three-way fight for the Drivers’ title, following the dramatic post-race disqualifications of both McLarens in Las Vegas and Max Verstappen’s victory in Qatar.
This year’s weekend is expected to welcome one of the largest crowds to date, with fans from 105 countries descending on the UAE capital.
