A bomb detonated during prayers at a mosque in Maiduguri, northeastern Nigeria, on Wednesday night, killing five people in what police suspect was a suicide attack.
Police reported that 35 others were injured in the incident.
Nahum Daso, spokesperson for the police command in the surrounding state of Borno, said in a statement that fragments of a suspected suicide vest were found at the site.
