According to the latest figures published by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), the non-oil exports of Saudi Arabia, including re-exports, reached an annual increase of 32.3 percent to SAR34 billion ($9.06 billion) in October 2025, while national non-oil exports, excluding re-exports, increased by 2.4 percent.
The report showed that the value of re-export goods had gone up by 130.7 percent over the same period as a result of an increase in the transportation equipment and parts by 387.5 percent, which constituted 37.4 percent of the total re-exports.
However, Saudi Arabia’s merchandise exports increased by 11.8 percent in October, as oil exports increased by 4.0 percent. As a result, this means that the proportion of oil exports relative to total exports declined to 67.4 percent in October 2025, compared to 72.5 percent in October 2024.
Therefore, the imports surged by 4.3 percent in October 2025, and the surplus of the merchandise trade balance increased by 47.4 percent in comparison to October 2024. The non-oil exports (including re-exports) of Saudi Arabia to imports ratio grew to 42.3 percent in October 2025, compared to 33.4 percent in October 2024.
This was attributed to the fact that the non-oil exports have increased by 32.3 percent, and the imports have increased by 4.3 percent in the same period. Some of the most significant non-oil exports included machinery and electrical equipment and parts, which comprised 23.6 percent of the total non-oil exports, and increased by 82.5 percent in October 2024.
This was followed by the chemical products, which constituted 19.4 percent of the total nonoil exports and experienced a 5.0 percent decline compared to October 2024.
The exports of Saudi Arabia to China amounted to 14.1 percent of total exports in October 2025, making this country the main destination for the Kingdom’s exports. This was followed by the UAE, which contributed 10.9 percent of total exports, and India, which contributed 9.9 percent of total exports.
The other countries that recorded the top 10 destinations were Japan, South Korea, the United States, Bahrain, Egypt, Singapore, and Poland. The exports of Saudi Arabia to the 10 countries represent 70.4 percent of total exports.
Meanwhile, China led the imports by the Kingdom since it represents 24.8 percent of the total imports in October 2025, followed by the U.S., with 8.7 percent of total imports, and the UAE with 6.4 percent of total imports.
The best 10 nations that imported include Switzerland, India, Germany, Japan, Italy, France, and Egypt, whereby the overall value of imports in the 10 countries amounts to 67.7 percent of the total imports.
