The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has recommended remote work for private sector establishments across the country and advised against workers’ presence in open areas for a temporary period.

According to the ministry’s official announcement, private companies are urged to take the necessary measures to prevent workers from being in open areas, except for vital and essential roles that require physical attendance. Employers are encouraged to implement remote working arrangements wherever possible.

The measure will apply for three days, from Sunday, 1 March, until Tuesday, 3 March.

The ministry clarified that the decision to suspend work entirely or adopt alternative arrangements remains with the competent local authorities within their respective jurisdictions, based on developments in the ongoing situation.

Private sector establishments have also been advised to follow updates issued by official federal and local sources and to ensure compliance with any additional guidance announced during this period.

The advisory forms part of precautionary measures to safeguard employees while maintaining operational continuity in essential sectors.
